Sitting unassumingly on the corner of Sharps Chapel Road and Lakeview, No Wake Market and Grill doesn’t exactly scream for your attention. However, if you make the stop, you’ll find most everything you need for a day on the lake, a picnic in the park or a relaxing, delicious meal with friends and family in the large dining area or on the outdoor deck. The business reopened November 2017 with new owners.
It drives me crazy as a reader. And as an author, I have never used this scenario and I never will. Have you ever read a book or short story about two people seeing each other across a crowded room and falling madly in love with each other? I’m talking they want to get married that second and they don’t even know each other’s names.
It’s not that I don’t believe in love at first sight. I don’t believe in the over used scenario in the above paragraph. What about you? Do you believe it’s truly possible to look into somebody’s eyes for the first time and fall in love?
Compared to the other seasons, winters seem pretty colorless, with the leaves off the trees and laying brown on the ground. But through closer observation you can see plants that remain green through the winter, and seeing or perhaps even identifying them can brighten up a winter hike in the woods. What follows are some of the more common green plants you will find in our area.

Year Two, Week Four
My good friend Sharon MacDonald was a Type I diabetic. I did not know this until once I went to the movies with her. After we were seated, she began to act strangely. I didn’t quite know what to make of her unusual behavior. She retained enough presence of mind to ask me to go buy her some candy, and I did.
Makenna Nease is a Junior on our 2018/2019 Lady Patriots basketball team. Makenna started playing basketball twelve years ago when she was 4. At the time, she started playing just to simply give her something to do. However, it was not just a one year thing. Makenna has played ball ever since, except for last year.

Matthew 12:6

In Matthew 12, the Pharisees confront Jesus about His disciples plucking corn and eating it on the Sabbath day. They are accusing Jesus’ Disciples of violating the 4th commandment or sabbath law and because the disciples are Jesus’ servants, they are accusing Jesus of sin. Here is the 4th commandment from Exodus 20:
