Johnie Jones, Jr.

Johnie Jones, Jr. – age 69 of Andersonville, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. Johnie was a member of Community Baptist Church of Maynardville. He was ordained July 9, 1989 and served as Chairman of the Deacon Board for 25 years. Johnie was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an employee of Plastic Line, Inc. in Powell and retired from Hickory Star Marina.

Deborah Lynn Love

Deborah Lynn Love, 63, of Maynardville, TN passed away on Monday, November 26th. Born June 6, 1955 in Knoxville, TN to the late Allan Love and Patricia (Kennedy) Love. She is survived by brother, Allan Love (Knoxville); sister, Lisa Love (Maynardville); son, Randy Mershon (Rockford, IL.); daughter, Tricia Mershon (Smyrna); four grandchildren, Alyssa, Chandler, Chace, and Cooper; great-grandson, Bentley and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Saturday, December 1st from 4:00-6:00pm with a memorial service to start at 6:00pm.

Lucille Litton Smith

Lucille Litton Smith – age 92 of Sharps Chapel, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was a member of Irwin’s Chapel Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by husband, Edward Smith; and parents, Hugh and Sudy Calloway. Lucille is survived by daughter, Connie (Richard) Yerman; grandsons, Jeff, Tim, Scott and Chris Muller; sisters, Betty Helton and Blanche Adkins; she is also survived by several other family members and will be greatly missed.

Alexander Aristides Mitzelos

Alex Mitzelos-age 72 of Corryton passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was of the Greek Orthodox faith. He was born in Greece, the son of his late parents, Stavros and Mirina Mitzelos.

Survivors: wife of 20 years, Robin Mitzelos of Corryton; daughters, Catherine Thompson of Corryton; Sherry Franco of Pennsylvania; one grandson, Luke Franco along with several siblings and other relatives in Greece.

Iva Lee Poston

Poston, Iva Lee went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 24, 2018. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an active member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church since 1973. She retired from the Knox County Schools in 1984. She became the care taker of her beautiful granddaughter, Amanda. She was the ultimate homemaker, hostess, and entertainer. She loved her family passionately. Her grandson, Michael, was an outstanding care taker. She is much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Delores Owens

Delores Owens, age 79, passed away on November 17, 2018. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Owens and Marshall Lundy; parents, Horace and Ada Corum. She is survived by son, Shane Kitts; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Kitts; Grandsons, David and Dustin Donton; close friends, Betty McBee, Lucy Flatford and Doris Brantley. Peggy June Lillard

Peggy June “Estep” Lillard, age 79, passed away on November 20, 2018. She was a part of the One Spirit Band and SECC.

Preceded in death by son Perry Grant Lillard, daughter Carol June Keene, parents Royal Estep and Ellen Cleo Whittington, and brothers James Estep and Benjamin Estep.

Survived by sons Randall Bruce Lillard Sr. and Jeffrey Dean Lillard, daughters Sandra Lynn Lillard and Peggy Sue Poindexter, brothers Robert Cromer Estep and Jack Lee Estep, sister Patricia Ann Rose, and 13 grandchildren who she helped raise through the years.

Jackie Ray Bailey

Jackie Ray Bailey – age 73, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, November 21, 2018. He was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by parents, Claude and Goldie Bailey; son, Rick Bailey; and daughter, Linda Gail Bailey. Jackie is survived by sons, Donny (Phyllis) Bailey and Chris Bailey; daughters, Sharon (Joe) Mink and Lisa (Scott) Tolliver; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Nele) Bailey; sister, DeAnna Crawford; and his two close companions, Rosie and Scobby.

Matilda Carmany Stevens

Matilda Carmany Stevens, age 87 of Knoxville passed away on November 19, 2018. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She always put her family first. She was a hard worker. She felt whole when surrounded by her family. She nourished our bodies, our minds and our hearts with her home cooked meals, her wisdom and her love. Preceded in death by husbands, Willard Carmany and Dewey Stevens, daughter, Carolyn Wallace, grandchildren, Lindsey Wallace and Spencer Robertson.

Faye Nell McClure

Faye Nell (Humphrey) McClure-age 84 of Chattanooga passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the home of her grandson in Trenton, Georgia surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of The Church of God, The Gospel Assembly, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. She was born November 8, 1934 in Gadsden, Alabama the daughter of the late Grady and Mamie Holliday Humphrey. Also preceded in death by husband, Murray Lee McClure, Sr.; daughter, Twanna Wallace; brothers, J. D., Robert, Julius, Wallace, Carvin and William Humphrey; sisters, Ruth Norton, Ruby Jo Kelly and Doris Black.

Helen Marie Hulsey

Helen Marie Hulsey, 95, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2018. Born on October 30, 1923 to Giuseppe and Mary Vazzana. Preceded in death by husband of 34 years, John W. Hulsey; daughters, Judy Petree and Brenda Underwood.
Survived by children Deborah Hulsey of Knoxville, James Hulsey, Mary James, and John Hulsey, all of Indianapolis. 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and her brother and 2 sisters. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Ruth Jean Campbell

Ruth Jean Campbell-age 79 of Sharps Chapel passed away Monday morning, November 12, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wayne T. (Kayo) Campbell; parents, Toby and Edith (Wright) Sharp; sisters, Viola and Mona Grace Sharp; brothers, Clio and Sam Sharp.

Survivors: daughter, Donna Campbell of Sharps Chapel; sister, Dot and J. C. Cox of Maynardville; brothers, Larry and Helen Sharp; Jack and Brenda Sharp, all of Sharp Chapel. Several nieces and nephews.

Richard Lewis 'Bud' Richardson

Richard Lewis “Bud” Richardson-age 57 of Maynardville, born October 16, 1961 passed away suddenly Saturday morning, November 10, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by parents, E. R. and Mary (Anderson) Richardson; brother, Eddie Richardson.

Survivors: children, Jason, David and April; four grandchildren. Sisters, Patsy (Billy) Humphrey, Vickie Shope; brothers, Jeff and Jessie (Jessica) Richardson. Several other family members and a host of friends.

Wanda Lee Eldridge

Wanda Lee Eldridge-age 77 of Luttrell passed away Friday evening, November 9, 2018 at her home. She along with her late husband were the owners of the former Mark’s Market in Luttrell. Lucy M. Grigsby – age 93 of Luttrell, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, November 12, 2018. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Ford Baptist Church. Lucy made an impact on the community through her service to Luttrell Elementary School and her church.

Linda Sue Wilkerson

Linda Sue Wilkerson-age 71 of Corryton passed away Thursday morning, November 8, 2018. She was a member of Hoitt Avenue Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Harold G. Wilkerson; daughter, Deborah Atkins.

Survivors: children, Mark, Denise, Lonnie and Gabriel; ten grandchildren, Josh Atkins; Suzanne, Amber, Dexter and Steven Bolden; Jake, Riley, Maddy, Jackson and Delilah Wilkerson; six great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hayley, Haylynn, Hadley, Jasper and Emilee. DeAnna Alexi

DeAnna Alexi, age 47, of Knoxville TN, daughter of Tony and Margo Alexi, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, under the care of the amazing staff at UT Medical Center, with her family holding her hands at her bedside. DeAnna had been under the care of UT Hospice at home prior to hospitalization. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gertrude and Herman Cruze of Knoxville TN and her paternal grandparents Anthony and Betty Oleksy of New York. She was born in Silver Springs, MD on January 30, 1971. Survivors are her husband Christopher L.
