Steven Scott Smolinsky-age 77 of Tazewell passed away Friday morning, August 14, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired employee of Claiborne County Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents, Steven and JoAnn Smolinsky.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Catherine Jo Smolinsky of Tazewell; sons, Steven Scott Smolinsky, II and wife Mindy of East Olympia, Washington, Michael Wayne Smolinsky and wife, Melinda of New Tazewell, James Everett Smolinsky and wife Angie of New Tazewell; grandchildren, Sophia Smolinsky, Gabby Smolinsky, Maggie Jo Smolinsky, Stevie Nicole Smolinsky and several cousins, nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

Celebration of life 6:30 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 143 Lynch Lane, New Tazewell. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
