Sharon D. Cook-Collins-age 71 of Sharps Chapel passed away Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026 at her home. Sharon was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1972. She attended Walters State Community College and received her nursing license. She had a great love for animals, especially her cats. Over the years, she made several donations to the humane society. Her hobbies included reading and photography. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter O. and Olta Jean (Maples) Cook; several aunts and uncles; special cousins, Mike Damewood and Rhonda Bridges.

Survivors, husband of 38 years, Randy D. Collins; parents-in-law, Glenn and Velda Turner; sisters-in-law, Belinda Turner and Marcella Runyon.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2026, Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Sharps Chapel, Pastor Jimmy Norris officiating with music by Kim Farrow. Pallbearers: Steve Hayes, Burgin Clutchfield, Rick Welch, Kim Farrow, Roger Allen. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. Friday.
