Roy Mack Witt
Roy “Mack” Witt – of Andersonville, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Known for his soulful voice and masterful guitar playing, Mack brought joy and comfort to those around him through music. His favorite song, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” was more than a melody – it was a reflection of his faith, his hope and his belief in the enduring bonds of family and love. Mack was saved as a Christian, and his life was a testament to the grace and peace he found in his faith. He carried that light with him, sharing it through every song he sang and every kindness he offered. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara Witt, for 59 years until her passing. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion, partnership, and enduring love – a bond that continues beyond this life. Mack spent his life sharing his gifts – not only as a musician, but as a devoted husband, father and friend. Whether strumming his guitar on the porch or lifting spirits with a heartfelt tune, Mack’s music was the soundtrack to a life well lived.
He is preceded in death by wife, Barbara Witt; Mack is survived by children, Billy Witt, Robin Witt and Misty (Hank Kitts) Witt; many grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
