Ron Presley
Ronnie Edgar Presley – age 68 of Maynardville, left his earthly home on Saturday, January 3, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer and is now in the arms of Jesus. He was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. A lifelong truck driver, Ron later retired from CVS Pharmacy after 34 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and much of his life was spent on the lake, fishing and boating. Ron deeply loved his family. His grandson by love, Cooper, was the light of his world and brought him great joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Fannie Presley; sisters, Ann Flatford and Brenda Baker; brother, Earl Presley; and brothers-in-law, Michael and Gregory Needham; and H. E. Booker, Jr. He leaves behind his loving wife of 18 years, Kimberly Presley; children by love, Whitney (Chase) Stover and Trent (fiancée, Kelsey) Stooksbury; grandson by love, Cooper Stover; brother, Ben (Barbara) Presley; sister, Marilyn Easterday; sister-in-law, Shirlene Booker; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Thompson Cancer Center, TN Oncology, Dr. David Chism, UT Hospice and Sacred Ground Hospice House for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Todd Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2026 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service.
