Rev. Billy Mark "Bud" Dyke

Reverend Billy Mark “Bud” Dyke – age 82 of New Tazewell was born on May 30, 1942 and passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Bud was a member of Blazing Star Lodge #455 F&AM where he was a Mason for 47 years, serving as a past Master and as a Chaplin for 13 years. Bud was also a valuable employee of Trinity for many years serving as a greeter and minister.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy (Collins) Dyke; parents, Cleveland Vasco and Sara Eliza (Sharp) Dyke; sisters, June Ott, Faye Keck, Bessie Dyke and Bonnie Goddard; and brothers, Harold Dyke, Max Hershel Dyke and Donnie Dyke. Bud is survived by daughter, Melissa (Kenny) England; son, Mark (Melinda) Dyke; grandkids, Jesse (Ashley) Dyke, Felicia Dyke, Eli (Leslie) England and Summer England; great grandbabies, Addison Dyke, Elsie Dyke, Emersyn England and Brighton England; sisters, Zettie Booker, Alice Sexton and Ruby Sexton; brother, Bruce Dyke; sister-in-law, Barbara Dyke; and brother-in-law, Jay Goddard.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic Service conducted by Blazing Star Lodge #445 F&AM will be prior to the funeral service. The service to follow with Reverend Mark Acres and Reverend Tim Drummonds officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Trinity to proceed to Taylor’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Sharps Chapel for an 11:00 a.m., graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Mark Dyke, Jesse Dyke, Kenny England, Eli England, Jay Collins and Danny W. Collins.
