Maxine Moore

Maxine Moore—Age 89 of Maynardville, TN passed peacefully to her heavenly home the morning of December 24, 2025. Born January 10, 1936. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for more than fifty years, where she met many life-long friends.

Maxine retired from Union County School System. She was also a talented seamstress and held a passion for her cross-stitch hobby where she expressed love through her cherished heirlooms.

Her greatest joy was her faith and family. Everyone who knew her was touched by her generous and caring spirit.

Preceded in death by her father and mother, Harvey and Margaret Dew; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Goldie Moore; husband, Doyle Moore; daughter, Robin Moore Lett; brothers, James and Randall Dew; sister, Flossie Ray.

Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Lisa, Gary and Jeannie, Jim and Yvette, Stanley and Lesa, Ashley and Karrie, Dennis Moore; son-in-law, Jeff Lett; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Stiles, Jo Ann Waddell, Mary Robertson, Nancy Altshuler, whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Bryan Cooke officiating, music by Chris Moore. Interment will follow at Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville
