Maria Lynn Moore

Maria Lynn Moore – age 46 of Maynardville, went to be with the Lord August 28, 2025. She was the only daughter of Harold and Luz Moore. Maria was a graduate of Union County High School, Class of 1997 and The Core Institute School of Massage Therapy. She attended Roane State Community College and Pellissippi. She loved her family and friends and the love of her life, fur baby Maggie, her kitty, who she called her little nurse. Maria was a very talented and dedicated artist. She was a beautiful soul inside and out and enjoyed helping people and always believed in being kind to others. She brought so much joy just being herself. Maria always had a beautiful smile and she was a fighter to the end.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Lynn Moore; brother, Gregory Lynn Moore; grandparents, Vaughn and Edith Moore and Jacobo and Mercedes Rivera Rodriguez; uncles, Juan, Miguel, Andres and Jose Rivera Rodriguez and Julio Cardona, Ted Rodriguez, Owen Moore and Joe Walton; aunts, Dina Rodriguez, Elisa Cardona, Doris Walton, Janet Moore, and Phyllis Molina; cousins, Julito Cardona, Marilyn and Jerry Shoffner and Tyra Shoffner. Maria is survived by her mother, Luz Moore; kitty, Maggie; aunt, Beni Pelekanos; uncles, Miguelin Rivera Rodriguez and George Molina and family; nieces and nephews, Melanie (Matt) Parrot, Samantha (Doug) Miller and Michael (Megan) Moore and their families; cousins, Dina Marie (Reggie) Casanovas, Kamaria Casanovas, Amanda, Natalie and Helen (Felix) Rodriguez, Kalliope (Kenneth) Guerra and family, Tony (Sharon) Pelekanos, Veronica Rivera and family; Jean (Mike) McGowan, Myra (David) Hall, Jill (Tom) Gilbertson, Julia (Brian) Tobler, Dionne (Keith) Nease and their families, Raymond and Paul Rodriguez, Hector Rivera and Earl (Pam) Ailor. A special thanks from the bottom of my heart to Pat Johnson (I call her my sis) who stayed with me till the end, Kayla who was such a comfort to Maria and took so much loving care, singing and praying with her and for her and my niece, Myra who helped me so much and is still helping me. My beautiful daughter loved you all as do I. Thank you and God bless you all.
Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m., October 1, 2025 at Carr Cemetery in Maynardville for a 1:00 p.m. combined graveside service for Maria and her father, Harold Moore with Pastor Mark Kilbourne officiating and Military Rites for Harold conducted by Tri County Veterans Honor Guard.
