James (Jamie) Nicely- of Luttrell went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday morning, September 19, 2025 at the young age of 52 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Jamie was born September 16, 1973 to L. D. Nicley and Mary Ruth Lawson. Preceded in death by father, L. D. Nicley; step-mother, Joyce Nicley; sister, Kim Nicely; nephew, Kenneth Nicley; Uncle Jim Lawson; grandparents, John Henry Lawson, Artie F. Lawson; Taylor and Della Nicley.

Jamie leaves behind a loving wife, Brandy (Rose) Nicely and Children; Cody (Crystal) Nicely, Destany Williams, Bobbi Jo Nicely, Destiny (Sawyer) Walton, Gracelyn Mcleod (Bryson); mother, Mary Ruth Atkins. Fifteen grandchildren with #16 on the way. Brothers, Teddy (Jeri) Nicley; Ronnie (Kim) Nicley; Travis (Jessica) Nicley; Jacob Nicley, sisters, Missy (Mike) Burkhart; Chloe and Delilah Nicley. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Leon Nicely officiating with music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025, Nicely Family Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. Sunday to go with the procession. Pallbearers: Cody Nicely, Sawyer Walton, Bryson Large, Tyler Bailey, Skylar Russell, Dameion Hurst. Honorary Pallbearers: Stevie Bailey, Michael Burkhart, Liam Burkhart, Zachary Jenkins, Travis Nicley, Ronnie Nicley. In lieu of flowers, donations for expense may be made at the funeral home.
