Jack D. Wyrick

Jack D. Wyrick-age 63 of Luttrell passed away Thursday afternoon, January 16, 2025 at his home. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Corryton, Tennessee. A devoted husband, father, and pap, Jack was the rock of his family, always providing for and supporting those he loved. His tireless work ethic and dedication inspired countless lives. Jack’s true passion was building sandcastles in Panama City, where he spent countless hours crafting intricate masterpieces with his loved ones. His creativity, patience, and joy were contagious, and his sandcastles remain a testament to his love for life and family. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the sandcastles that will forever hold a piece of his heart. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Deloris Wyrick; brother, Mike Wyrick and sister, Jacqueline (Sissy) Wyrick.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kay Wyrick; daughter, Tonya Wyrick (Austin). Grandchildren, Shawn and Izayah. Brother, Bobby Wyrick. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind two special individuals who held a dear place in his heart: Tabitha Hamic, whom he loved like a second daughter and Shane Waskom whom he cherished like a son. Special friends, Ken and Deborah Thornton.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2025 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m., Bethel Baptist Church, Clapps Chapel Road, Corryton, Rev. Tim Inklebarger officiating with music by Damon Seal and Shawn Wynn. Interment 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sharp Cemetery on Luttrell-Corryton Road, Luttrell. Pallbearers: Shawn Wynn, Izayah Wolfenbarger, Bobby Wyrick, Matthew Brantlinger, Rick Branson, Randy Cantrell, Todd Henningsen. Honorary Pallbearers: Austin Mayhew, Frankie Waskom, Shane Waskom. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
