Gerald Wayne Hobock – age 81 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday morning, December 26, 2025, at his home. He was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church and a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1963. His favorite pastime was fishing for crappie and being on the lake. He is preceded in death by first wife, Elsie Hobock; son, Ronald (Pete) Hobock; parents, Jessie and Trula (McBee) Hobock; brother, James (J.L.) Hobock; sisters, Carolyn Walker, Marilyn Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruby Muncey Hobock; sons, Terry Wayne Hobock, Tony Hobock and wife Tammy; step-children, Sue Cox and husband Billy Joe, Joe Ed Muncey, Tony Muncey; grandchildren, Bradley Muncey, Shea Muncey, Dallon Hobock, Dustin Hobock; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville, Rev. Gabril Haynes officiating, music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 2:45 PM on Sunday. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
