G. Mildred Beason

G. Mildred Beason – born May 21, 1942, passed away on May 4, 2025 at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehabilitation in Knoxville. She was a member of Hines Creek Baptist Church in Maynardville where she was song director for many years and was an original member of The Beason Family gospel group for more than 40 years.

She is preceded in death by husband, Billy Ray Beason; daughter, Rita Beason Keck; granddaughter, Serena Rush; parents, Elmer and Etter Cooper and six brothers and sisters. Mildred is survived by sons, Donald (Emily) Beason and Dwight Beason; daughters, Lisa (Brian) Sexton and Pam (Tim) Williams; son-in-law, Dan Keck; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Berry, Rosella Wyrick and Robin Hale; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Beverly Park Place for the care that was given to our mother during her stay and to U. T. Hospice for their loving care.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Hines Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the church with Reverend Mark Large, Reverend Teddy McCloud and Reverend Steve Williams officiating with music provided by The Beason Family. Burial will follow in Hines Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, John Beason, Matthew Keck, Wayne Keck, Eli Williams, David Humphrey and Chris Tharp; honorary pallbearers, Tim Williams, Brian Sexton, Kaine Savage, Steve McCloud and Mildred’s nephews.
