Elvin Paul "Fats" Helton

Elvin Paul “Fats” Helton – age 76 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully December 23, 2025. He was well known for fishing and hunting. Elvin loved to fish more than anything. He was a very devoted and generous man to his family and friends. Elvin was a very hard-working man and his smile touched the heart of whoever he bestowed it on.

He is preceded in death by parents, William Paul and Betty Lou (Munsey) Helton; great grandchild, Ricky Brown; and sister, Betty Hatcher. Elvin is survived by sons, Randy (Trish McDowell) and Ronnie Helton; daughters, Pat (David) Helton Brown, Stephanie Glenn (Bobby Bailey), Angie (Shawn) O’Mary, Candy Glenn and Priscilla Turpin; and was Pap Daddy to special grandbaby, Heather Turpin; brother, Elbert; sisters, Connie (Leon) Wyrick, Brenda McCann, Gracie (Rick) Hanson, Debbie (Ronnie) Wyrick and Mary (Marty) Hunley; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Archie Wilson and Reverend Josh Jones officiating with music provided by Christina Mann, Betty Headerickson, Melissa Walker and Lisa Corum. Family and friends will meet at Trinity 1:15 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025 to proceed to Liberty Hill Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Steve, Bean, Jackie Nicley, Johnny Welch, Richard Munsey, Chris Hatcher, Rowdy Helton and Bobby Bailey; honorary pallbearers, Delano Weddie, Brad Monroe, Allen Helton, Joshua Helton, Dakota Helton, Devin Helton, Ridge Paul Helton, Zeke Helton, Cole Helton, Bryson Turpin and Conner Monroe.
