Ella Tharp Blankenship

Ella (Tharp) Blankenship, age 82 of Luttrell departed this earth and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2025. She was a life-long member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church in Luttrell. Preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Blankenship; daughter Robin Blankenship Murphy; parents, Lee and Ollie Tharp; brothers Eskie and John (Dora) Tharp; sisters Lucille (Herbert) Chesney, Pearlie Muncey, Inez (Charlie) Brown, Mabel Tharp, and Rozell Tharp.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law Steve and Michelle Blankenship, grandsons Shane (Katie) Murphy, Sawyer (Telisa) Blankenship and Canaan (Tori) Blankenship. Great grandchildren Gibson, Caiden, soon to arrive baby girl Blankenship; and soon to arrive baby boy and baby girl Murphy; brother Dewey (Zola) Tharp; brother-in-law Bobby Joe (Kathy) Blankenship and sister-in-law Rema Blankenship, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to niece Barbara Standifer for her many calls and flowers sent that brightened her day. The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Willow Ridge in Maynardville for their dedicated care and compassion for Ella during her time there. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Dyer Cemetery, Powder Springs, officiated by Rev. Stewart Skeen and Rev. Ray Headrick, music by Rev. Ray Headrick. Pallbearers will be, Sawyer Blankenship, Canaan Blankenship, Shane Murphy, Sam Vittetoe, Russell Vittetoe, Robert Blankenship. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 A.M. on Monday at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary to go with the funeral procession. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
