David Glen Stump-age 67 of Sharps Chapel passed away Thursday morning, December 4, 2025 at his home. David wore many hats throughout his life. He was such a hard worker in everything he did or job he had; he would give it 110%. He made many friends throughout his life. He was loved by his co-workers. He always tried to do the right thing by everyone. He was someone you could depend on and trust. He would help anyone. He was strong and kind. He tried to be a bright light to those around him. He was, however, the brightest light for his family, whom he gave his all. Preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Pauline Stump; nephew, Judson Anderson.
Survivors, wife of 47 years, Sandra L. Stump; daughter, Andrea Stump and D. J. Cunningham; son, Chad Stump and wife, April; four grandchildren, Lilleigh Stump, Jaxson Burchett and fiancée, Brittany Brock, Miley Burchett, Hallie Stump; one great-grandchild, Brenleigh Burchett. Sister, Sheryl Anderson, brothers, Marshall Stump and wife, Debbie. John Stump, Keith Stump and wife, Karen, Sammy Stump and wife, Jenny, Greg Stump. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
An informal celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating where you are invited to share your memories of David with the family. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
