Coy Graves

Coy Robert Graves – age 88, went to be with the Lord, peacefully at 1:15 pm on Tuesday, September 9th at his home surrounded by his family. He was saved at a young age.
Preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Doris (Selvidge), daughter, Sandy Reagan Graves; Parents: Leslie & Anna Jane (Dyke) Graves.
Sisters: Jess Graves, Pearl (Jr) Kitts, Bertie (Robert) Campbell, Loretta “Tom” (Leonard) Padgett, Jean (Dewey) Neely.
Brothers: Charlie “Red”, Bill (Jeannie) (Betty), Twin - Roy (Aileen).
Survived by: Daughters: Debbie McMahan, Colleen (Denny) Beeler; Sons: Jack (Lynn) Reagan, Coy Robert II (Melissa) Graves; as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Coy was loved and respected by everyone he met. He joined the army as did many young men in the early days. He shared stories of life as the son of a lawman. He and his family lived at the jail house. He and his twin brother were even born in the jail as his mother was a cook at the jail.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 11,2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 6 pm. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, to proceed to Monroe Cemetery for a 12:00 graveside service. Reverend Jimmy Davidson & Reverend Bob Zavattieri. & Reverend Gordon Dyke officiating. Military Honors by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers: Matt McMahan, Dean Beeler, Chance Graves, Heath Helton, Michael Seal, Garrett Graves, Ryan Young. Honorary pallbearers: Terry Bailey & friends from the garage as well as all his nephews.
