Cathy Jan Nicley-age 67 of Maynardville, born August 12, 1958, passed away Friday morning, January 16, 2026, at her home peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Emily (Van Bebber) Burkhart; brother, Christopher Burkhart; sister, Patricia Burkhart.

She is survived by her son, David (Kristy) Nicley; grandson, Alan Nicley (Briana); granddaughters, Whisper Nicley, Jacklynn Wright, Christopher Armstrong, Jacob (Katie) Armstrong; great grandchild, Christian Nicley, Charlee Nicley, Winter Nicley, Kane Nicley, Analee Armstrong, Riley Armstrong; brother, Mike (Missy) Burkhart; lifelong friend, Julie Shown and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Leon Nicely officiating. Interment to follow after funeral service Sunday, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: David Nicley, Alan Nicley, Michael Burkhart, Zachary Jenkins, Adian Shartzer, Tony Bailey.
