Bloma Rush

Bloma Rush – 99 of Washburn passed away peacefully October 8, 2025, at Sacred Grounds Hospice House. She was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church. She served as a teacher in the Union County School System for over 40 years.

Bloma is preceded in death by parents, Harry Hubbs and Beatrice (Dew) Rosenbalm; husband, Wayburn; sons, Larry and Joe; great-grandson, Allen; and sisters, Mary Katherine Cox and Lou Emma Goforth. She is survived by her son, Jesse Albert and wife, Betty; grandson, Dusty; grandson and wife, David and Amy; granddaughter, Lacey; great-granddaughter and husband, Kayla and Dustin; great-granddaughter, Laney; great-great granddaughters, Kenzie and Khloe; and special friend and relative, Kim Rush. Special thanks to Gina Presceti White, Chris and Jana Lee, Amedisys Hospice, and Sacred Grounds Hospice House for Bloma’s comfort and care.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with service to follow. Reverend Robbie West will be officiating with music provided by Richard and Linda Nicley. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Trinity to proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery for a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Doug Beeler, Seth West, Jacob West, Larry Lay, Terry Chittum, and Dusty Rush. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Huskey, Phillip Nicely, and George Rosenbalm. Trinity Funeral Home, Maynardville, has the honor of serving the family of Mrs. Rush.
