Barbara Jeanne Walters Seymour-age 85 of Luttrell went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, February 15, 2026, at Claiborne Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1959. Barbara was a retired employee of Patterson Brothers Trucking and enjoyed her time serving with the Union County Chamber of Commerce. Preceded in death by daughter, Karen Renee Seymour; parents, Tom and Beulah (Gose) Walters; husband, Walter Seymour.

Survivors: son, Mark Seymour; grandsons, Thomas Lynn Seymour, Mark Allen Seymour and Adrianna Durham; great-grandsons, Waylon Seymour and Judson Seymour. Brother, Tommy Franklin Walters; sisters, Linda Bowman, Gayle Ford. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley, Rev. Bart Pederson officiating with music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Thomas Lynn Seymour, Mark Allen Seymour, Lynn Bowman, Clint Jones, Wesley Walters, Mark Seymour, Michael Bowman, Matthew Bowman. Honorary Pallbearers: Her nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather Thursday following the graveside at her sister’s house, 325 Tazewell Pike, Luttrell. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
