John Huston Bunch-age 85 of Washburn passed away Sunday, April 16,2023 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Carmeuse Mining, Luttrell, with 20 years of service.

Gary Wayne Worley-age 73 of Maynardville passed away Sunday, April 16,2023 at Willow Ridge Center. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by mother who raised him, Bobbie Worley; sister, Jenny Worley; brother, Buddy Worley.
William Ray Poore, Sr. – age 79 of Sharps Chapel, born October 17, 1943 passed away April 14, 2023 at UT Hospital. Saved at a young age, William became an entrepreneur with many business adventures throughout his life including helicopter and fixed wing pilot, scuba diver, realtor and owner of successful businesses.
Beulah Elizabeth Wolfenbarger-age 99 of Luttrell went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Fairpark Healthcare Center in Maryville. She was a faithful member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church in Luttrell. She was a seamstress and was a retired employee of American Clothing and Volunteer Apparel. Preceded in death by husband, Everett Wolfenbarger, Sr., two granddaughters, four brothers and three sisters.
Penny Renee Wilson-age 59 of Maynardville, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was saved at an early age and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She was a talented musician and loved playing keyboard, piano and guitar. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who was loved by all who knew her. Preceded in death by parents, Wayne and Betty Houser.

She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. She was retired employee of the Union County School System and a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1960. Amos Houston Corum, Jr.-age 62 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Friday morning, April 7, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church. Amos was an employee of Holston Gases, Knoxville for 20 years. Preceded in death by parents, Amos Houston, Sr. and Christine Corum; brother, Anthony Corum; sister, Shirley Crisp.
Pearlie Marie Hamic-Gourley - age 89 of Washburn passed away Friday morning, April 7, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mountain View Church of God of the Union Assembly, Luttrell. She loved the Lord and she talked about God all the time. She prayed for everyone she met. Beulah Lee (Davis) Nicley-age 96 of Washburn passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Elder Odra and Zettie Davis; husband, Tommy Nicley; sons, Murriel and Dan Nicley; granddaughter, Jennifer Weaver.
George Andrew Hatten-age 48, June 5,1974 ~ March 31,2023. George (half-pint) passed away on Friday, March 31,2023, unexpectedly in Whitesburg, Kentucky, in the process of moving his small family to Tennessee. He loved his immediate family from a distance. He moved away several years ago on a new adventure to become a new person and prove himself. George became a new man, father, husband and a provider.

Judy Ann Cisson-age 41 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 28,2023 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith and was an Elm Street Kid. She was a loving and caring person who loved her son unconditionally.

Linda Mae (Russell) Johnson-age 63 of Sharps Chapel, born November 15,1959, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 26,2023 at North Knox Medical Center, surrounded by family. She was a loving mother and nana. She was a member of Sharps Chapel Christian Church.
Charles Parsley – age 83 of Luttrell, passed away on March 26, 2023 at home. He was a member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church and we know he is with the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all. Everyone who met him loved him. Charles was hardworking, loving and had a heart of gold. Charles was a veteran of the U S Navy acting as a Seabees from 1954 – 1958. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His passion was farming. Charles also retired from White Lily Flour where he was known as “Hoss”.
Joe Odell Coffey, Jr-age 79 of Luttrell passed away Sunday afternoon, March 26,2023, at his home. He was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church. Joe was a retired employee of Great Dane Trailers with 39 years 9 months of service.

Glenn Carroll “Brimbo” Monroe, 86, of Corryton and Sharps Chapel, was reunited with loved ones and his Lord in heaven on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was of the Baptist faith and attended both Salem Baptist Church and First Baptist of Maynardville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maggie Cooke Monroe and Ural Leonard “Sheepie” Monroe, stepmother, Mary Edna Monroe, sons Anthony Glenn Monroe and Christopher Leonard Monroe, and his beloved wife of over 50 years, Peggy Adams Monroe.
