Ricky Kyle Mullins

On Saturday, April 25, 2026 Ricky Kyle Mullins-age 66 of Maynardville took his final hit and walked out of the arena for the last time. Rick was a “Simple Man” who lived life on his own terms-Unfiltered, unapologetic and always with a durag tied tight around his head. In his younger days, Rick was known for his skilled hands in brick and block masonry and expert fiberglass work on boats. Though he hadn’t been able to work in recent years, he spent his time doing what he truly loved: raising and handling a prize gamecock and peace from smoking his favorite “herb”. But behind the “smoke” and “rowdy” reputation was a man who loved to laugh and tell stories, also a man that didn’t go to church but knew he was in “trouble”, he knew where he was going. We witnessed him fight the Devil and beg for forgiveness, later he held his hands in the air and said: Thank You Lord, Thank You Jesus!!

Preceded in death by his parents: Hubert and Hazel Mullins; grandparents; Frank and Allie Young; John and Myrtle Mullins; special uncle: Robert Young; brothers: Doug and Johnny Mullins; Love of his life: Bernice Mullins.

Rick is survived by his daughters: Nikie (Dusty) Cates, Lorie “Pnut” (Tony) Hitson, Mary (Terry) Atkins. Long-time love, girlfriend, Robin Satterfield Hickman. Best friend: his beloved dog, Roscoe. Grandkids, Casey (Bobby) Keys, Jordan (Kelly) Atkins, Ashley (Lance) Thomas, Brodie Hickman III, Adam (Lindsey) Hickman, Brian (Tessa) Hickman, Destiny Cates, Trey Cates. Several Great-Grandchildren.
