Herbert Leroy Hensley, born May 9, 1941 departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on the Lord's Resurrection Easter Sunday April 5,2026 with his loving family surrounding him in love and prayers. Leroy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family was his entire world. He had a deep love of music and playing his guitar. Leroy loved to spend time outside in nature, especially fishing.

Leroy was preceded in death by his father, John Hensley; his mother, Marggie Hensley; sisters, Reba Johnson and Rachel Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn “Lannie” Hensley; sons, Tim and wife Jane Hensley, Lonnie and wife Trish Hensley. and Rodney and wife Shanta Hensley; grandchildren, Coty and wife Beth Hensley, Christa Hensley, Mariah Hensley, Memphis Hensley and Maison Scates; two great grandchildren; brother, Jim and wife Edna Hensley; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and Friends will gather on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Trinity Funeral Home in Maynardville TN from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services to follow with Reverend Charlie McClure and Reverend Jim Hensley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Trinity to proceed to Washam-Dukes Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Tim Hensley. Lonnie Hensley, Rodney Hensley, Coty Hensley, Maison Scates and Michael Crowe; honorary pallbearer, Memphis Hensley.
