THIS WEEK: Union County COLLECTION SITE OPENS to help GLOBAL Christmas project reach CHILDREN IN NEED.
Nov. 13 – 20: National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gifts.
Union County families are on a mission to make an impact in the lives of children in need. They are donating colorfully wrapped shoebox gifts to be sent to children around the world—many of whom have never received a gift before and have very little to call their own.

Nov. 13 – 20 is Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week.
Local residents will collect shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items. The Samaritan’s Purse project will deliver these gifts to children affected by war, disease, disaster, poverty and famine. The Cumberland Pathway - TN Area Team volunteers (serving Union, Claiborne, Campbell and Scott Counties) have a goal of collecting more than 10,500 gifts during the week.

When Milan Baptist Church’s Drop Off Team Leader, Holly Simmons, counted the 1000+ shoeboxes the church had packed, she responded, “Oh my goodness! Praise the Lord for all those shoeboxes and the children who will receive them. That is wonderful!” The church has greatly exceeded their original goal of packing 701 shoebox gifts.

Milan Baptist Church (beside Paulette Elementary School, 120 Milan Ln.) will serve again this year as the local Drop Off Site for shoebox gifts. We will be open to accept your shoeboxes during the times below:

Monday, November 13 - 10:00 am to 12 noon
5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Tuesday, November 14 - 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
